Take A Video Tour of Beach Camp

Private Pool area with Fire Pit and Outdoor Game Turf Area

Custom Made Shuffle Board and Dining Tables

Perfect for Multiple Families

Pet Friendly with some restrictions

Beach Camp is a stunning new vacation rental home located in the private, low-density neighborhood of Ocean Haven. Completed in June 2017, Beach Camp boasts amenities like no other vacation rental home on Cape San Blas. This includes a custom-made 19' shuffleboard table in the game room, 4 decks with both gulf and bay views, an extremely private pool in a natural setting, original art, a large outdoor shower, and changing area and outdoor game area.

Beach Camp is a 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom vacation rental home. The bedrooms include two master suites, one bedroom with a king, one bedroom with two full beds, and a bunk room with two sets of built-in twin bunk beds.

The is plenty of space for families to gather in both the game room and the great room. Located on the 2nd floor, the game room includes a smart tv and a table for playing board games and doing puzzles. The centerpiece of this room is the beautiful shuffleboard table lovingly made from reclaimed barn and bowling alley wood.  It is a beautiful table,  a ton of fun to play, and is the only shuffleboard table on Cape San Blas.

The great room on the 3rd is a large and open space with a vaulted ceiling made from 100+-year-old reclaimed beadboard. The ceiling will take your breath away.  It is a work of art!  From the center of this room you can look to your right and see the gulf and then turn to your left and see the bay.  The views are amazing.  We feel family meals are important especially on vacation.  The family table is where memories are made.  Because of that, we have built a table (from the same barn would used to make the shuffleboard table) that can comfortably seat 14.  It's a stunning table and we hope will be the place your family gathers to enjoy a meal, share stores, laugh, and create memories.

There are a total of 4 decks at Beach Camp.  The gulf side decks have both gulf and pool views.  The bayside decks (one private off a bedroom and one off the great room) both have beautiful bay views.  Both the gulf and the bay decks on the 3rd floor have reclaimed cypress wood bars.  These bars are the perfect place to enjoy a meal or a drink.

The pool area at Beach Camp is like no other on Cape San Blas.  The private and natural setting makes it easy to find a good book, settle into a lounge chair, take a deep breath and just relax.  The kids can entertain themselves in the pool or by playing games on the artificial turf area.  The beach closet is stocked with several games in addition to all the chairs, boogie boards buckets, and shovels you will need.

The trip to the beach is an easy one.  From the gulf side of Beach Camp you will walk along a flat nature path approximately 300 yards to the boardwalk.  Signs guide your way.  Ocean Haven has a dedicated neighborhood beach walk-over that leads to to the beautiful sands of Cape San Blas.

After a full day at the beach and the pool your family can gather around the fire pit at Beach Camp.  Six Adirondack chairs and two tables ring the fire creating a comfortable place to just sit with a glass of wine or roast marshmallows for s'mores. Just imagine the memories that can be made under those unforgettable Forgotten Coast stars.

Exceeded Expectations!

After reading all the reviews prior to our arrival at Beach Camp, we knew we were in for a great trip. However, we were blown away by how absolutely amazing everything was and I wish I could give this house 10 stars. I have never stayed at a vacation home that was this well-stocked, well-designed, and looked better in person than in the pictures (that rarely happens!)! Our group included 2 families with 3 total children. We all had plenty of space to spread out and here’s the kicker-this house is some kind of magical sound proofed castle. We never once heard people stomping around upstairs or dishes clanging or kids yelling while we relaxed in our bedrooms. Amazing! The pool was incredible (opt to get it heated if visiting in the cooler months-it was like a large warm bath) and the walk to the beach was super easy-even for tired kids. Oh! And you literally do not have to bring any beach gear-there were plenty of chairs, boogie boards, life vests, buckets, AND a cart to pull it all in. We loved being able to walk up the road for ice cream or shrimp (St Joe’s Shrimp Co is fabulous) and the Trading Post had literally anything we needed. We did not have to drive the entire week. Our entire group could not stop raving about the house, location, and beach. You will not be disappointed visiting Beach Camp.

We have stayed in a A LOT of rentals — and this one is BY FAR the most fully equipped home we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. We loved every minute!

Wonderful vacation!

This was our third vacation in Cape San Blas. By far, this home was our favorite place to stay! We traveled here with our adult children and my 5 month grandson. The home had everything imaginable for the baby and us. The owners thought of literally everything needed to enjoy a great week. It's a close walk to the beach and the surroundings were amazingly beautiful. We had some rain, so we were grateful for the shuffleboard table and the many games in the house for us to use. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! The elevator was great for loading and unloading our belongings. We would love to stay here in the future! Lastly, the owner was wonderful to work with and let us know to contact her if we needed anything! It was a perfect vacation!

Kimberly, Thank you so much for your kind words about Beach Camp. I'm so happy that your family enjoyed staying in our home. We love the shuffleboard too for rainy beach days. Thank you for choosing to stay at Beach Camp. I hope to welcome your family back to our home again soon. Carrie

Fabulous! You won’t be disappointed at Beach Camp. It’s the best stocked kitchen you’ll find in a rental. We’ve always cooked a lot when we come down and even more so with Covid. Everything you could need is there, enough utensils and dishes for a very large group and if it’s not there Carrie will take care of it. Part of the blender and mixer was missing, I let Carrie know and she had new ones shipped to the house. Great proximity to the beach. The pool is also so well cared for, always clean. Met the pool man several times and he was always so friendly.

Holly, Thank you for returning to Beach Camp! I'm happy you got to meet Chad. He's super and I'm so fortunate to have him on my team. I'm glad we were able to get that blender replaced for you. A vacation without frozen drinks is not good. :) I hope to welcome you back to Beach Camp again soon! Carrie

This is our 3rd year at Beach Camp. You will not find a better equipped house for an enjoyable vacation - everything is provided from bed linens to beach towels and beach chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped - we cook a lot and have always found whatever we need to prepare any meal. Homeowners are great to call and make sure everything is okay when you arrive and to fix anything in a timely manner. We already have reserved it for next year!!

Kay, I really enjoy welcoming you and your family to Beach Camp. Repeat guests like you are very important to me. I'm happy that this most recent visit didn't disappoint. I look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Carrie

Family Vacation was a success!

I listed other in the guest type as we had family and extended family with us. This was the second time renting Beach Camp and highly recommend it. We had a wonderful time and love this home. The home is well equipped and we only ate out one time. We had ages ranging from 72 yrs old to 14 yrs old and everyone loved it. The pool was fantastic especially after a long day at the beach. Once again, Carrie - thank you for sharing your home with us!

Lori, I'm thrilled that the timing worked out so that you could return to Beach Camp this summer. I'm happy that this visit was a good one too. Thanks for recommending and returning to Beach Camp. I look forward to hearing about all the wonderful things that will be coming to your family later this year. Carrie

My husband, three daughters and their families stayed at the Cape San Blas Beach Camp house in June 2021. We had a great time and enjoyed the house immensely! There were 8 adults and 3 children (one 11 month old). The house was beautiful. We loved the reclaimed wood and repurposed items used to decorate the home. The main floor was spacious with a dining table that comfortably fit all of the group at meals. There was lots of room to prepare meals and not feel crowded. The bedroom with the bunk beds was great for our 10 and 15 year old grandchildren. Each bunk bed had a personal light and outlet that allowed both of the kids to use their digital devices and keep them charged!! The house had a pack and play and a high chair for the baby. That really helped with the packing for the trip!! The adults loved the size and comfort of their respective bedrooms, bathrooms and the great views. There were balconies with plenty of seating on both sides of the house. That meant we could enjoy the sun rise over the bay and the sunset over the Gulf each day. The elevator in the house also made it easy to bring in groceries and suit cases with little to no effort!! The house was secluded so we enjoyed our privacy at our own pool. The group alternated between living in our pool or at the beautiful Cape San Blas beach!! The Cape San Blas beach is absolutely beautiful and goes on forever. We enjoyed our morning walks on the beach and camp fires on the beach each evening.!! After leaving the beach each evening we lighted a fire in the Beach Camp fire pit and made smores!! Everyone thought they had died and gone to heaven!! The house was located close to the Trading Post, Weber’s Donuts and the local ice cream shop. We could easily walk to these shops and back to Beach Camp in 10 minutes. So, the grandchildren were able to get their daily ice cream or shakes (The adults did too!!). The Beach Camp was also a short distance to the Port St Joe Peninsula Park. So we were able to rent a pontoon boat for the afternoon and had a great time boating in the bay. Carrie Shevlin was great at answering all of our questions about Beach Camp prior to our arrival. She also followed up with us on the day of are arrival and made herself available to us throughout our stay if we had any questions or needs. She could not have been more helpful. The group are already asking when we can go back to Cape San Blas and the Beach Camp house!! My family would highly recommend Beach Camp to families that want a great beach house on a beautiful beach!!

Carol, It soulds like your family took advantage of all the wonderful things Cape San Blas has to offer. What more do you need when you have ice cream, smores and donuts on vacation? :). I am so happy that you made Beach Camp your home base and that you enjoyed your time there. I look forward to welcoming you all back again soon. Carrie

A Fabulous Beach Vacation

Our family of 9 were multi-generations: grandparents, parents, and four teenagers ranging from 14 to 19. This house accommodated all of our needs. The five bedrooms provided perfect sleeping arrangements for our group. The kitchen was well equipped for any type of cooking and food preparation. The house is beautiful and one of the best beach rentals that our family has ever stayed in. It was nice having the pool to relax in after a day of either fishing, paddle boarding and kayaking, or being at the beach. The fire pit was a nice added touch in the evening. And, most of all, the shuffleboard table provided a great deal of fun for all of us. The kitchen/family room was perfect at meal time and just sitting around together. Carrie is an excellent communicator and makes you feel like you are a special guest in her own home. We hope to return in 2022.

Susan, I am so happy to hear that you family enjoyed staying at Beach Camp. Your multi-generational family was exactly what we envisioned staying there when we designed the home. I love that you enjoyed the shuffleboard table too. A lot of love went into making that for our guests. Thanks for choosing to stay at Beach Camp and I hope to welcome you back in 2022. Carrie

June, 2021 Summer Vacay at Beach Camp

Beach Camp was perfect for our family of 12. It had an elevator which was so helpful. We had an inground salt-water pool where we congregated in the afternoons and at night. : Everything here was near perfect. The location of Beach Camp is close to several restaurants and Port St. Joe. There is a 22 ft. long shuffleboard that provided many hours of fun for everyone. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the pots, pans, etc. we needed to prepare our meals. It is centrally located between St. Joseph’s Bay and the Gulf. It is also located close to several restaurants, boutiques, souvenir shops, and the local ice cream shop. It’s a quick trip to Port St. Joe or Appalachicola. There were plenty of chairs, umbrellas and beach towels provided for us. The beach is a quick 3-5 minute walk away. All in all, it was one of the most relaxing and comfortable vacations we have had. Thank you so much!

Retha, I'm so happy that Beach Camp worked out pefrectly for you and your family. That shuffleboard table is a lot of fun!! Thank you so much for choosing to stay at Beach Camp and I look forward to welcoming you back in 2022! Carrie

Fantastic Rental on the Cape

Beach House is a perfect rental for large groups. We had 10 adults and it had more than enough room for everyone. The house is set up with EVERYTHING! We have stayed at numerous rentals on Cape San Blas over the past 20 years and this was by far the greatest time we have had in a rental. Carrie and her team were attentive and very accommodating in every step, from booking through checkout. Make sure you book early, this place fills up fast and it is because they thought of everything in the house.

Michael, Thank you so much for your kind words about Beach Camp. I was thrilled to welcome you and your family and am so happy to hear that you had a great time. Hannah is now a certified elevator assistant. :). Thank you so much for choosing to stay at Beach Camp. I hope that you will come back and stay with us again soon. Carrie
